How does Medicare work?

Medicare is complicated, but we would love to help you understand it better. Please contact us for more for a free review of Medicare benefits and insurance options. Here’s a brief descriptions of the 4 parts of Medicare.

Part A: This is your hospital insurance. It also covers skill nursing facility care in some cases, nursing home care as long as it custodial care isn’t the only care you need, hospice, and home health services. There is a Part A deductible and copays for different services. Contact us for specifics.

Part B: Part B covers medically necessary services and preventive services. This includes, doctor visits, ambulance, durable medicare equipment, mental health, second opinions, and some vaccinations. Part B has a premium for use, an annual deductible, and copays. Contact us for specifics.

Part C: Medicare beneficiaries may opt out of original Medicare (Part A and B) to chose a private insurance company when offered in their area. Part C plans are known as Medicare Advantage and often have premiums, deductibles and copays. Medicare Advantage plans may or may not include prescription coverage. Contact us for specifics about plans available in your area and associated cost.

Part D: This is prescription drug coverage. Plans are specific to an area.  Contact us for specifics about plans available in your area and associated cost.
